Dr. Betsy Oesch has been with our BCRAH doctor team since August of 2014. She graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. She also has a degree in Equine Reproduction and Psychology, as well as Dairy Production and Management.
Her main interests are small animal internal medicine and surgery, although she does enjoy dentistry and loves the process of discovering what is wrong with our patients and how best to fix it. Working with our clients to make the best decisions for their pet’s health and serving as their advocate is the most rewarding part of her job.
Dr. Oesch has a very large family, although most of them are still in Ohio. She enjoys spending time with 2 of her sisters who live right here in Texas. Her 4 dog children – GiGi, Honey B, Spunky and Lola – are champion Toy Poodles and still show at AKC shows. Cooking (especially baking) and gardening herbs and vegetables are among some of her other interests. For the past 7 years, Dr. Oesch has participated in the Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska as a trail veterinarian for the sled dogs. It’s been an amazing adventure!
